The Bogor Botanical Gardens  is a botanical garden located in Bogor, Indonesia, 60 km south of Jakarta. It is currently operated by Indonesian Institute of Sciences. The Gardens are located in the city center and adjoin the presidential palace compound of Istana Bogor. It covers an area of 87 hectares (210 acres) and contain 13,983 different kinds of trees and plants of various origin. The geographic position of Bogor means it rains almost daily, even in dry season. This makes the Garden an advantageous location for tropical plants cultivation.

Founded in 1817 by the order of the government of Dutch East Indies, the Garden thrived under the leadership of many renowned Botanist. Since its foundation Bogor Botanical garden have served the country as a major research center for agriculture and horticulture, a legacy that lived on until today. It is the oldest Botanical garden establishment in Southeast Asia.

CHARACTERISTIC OF BOGOR BOTANICAL GARDEN

 

One of characteristic of the Bogor botanical gardens is a large number of trees in the Botanical Garden makes the cool air and rich in oxygen. There are more than 17,000 species including rare types of orchids. The trees here are not only comes from within the country but many also came from abroad. Always interesting to see is the superhuman carrion flower (Rafflesia Arnoldi). This flower is unique because of the large size and flowering will produce a foul smell carrion flowers are named so. Red Bridge and also became one of the characteristic, many visitors who came to take pictures in this place

INTERVIEW WITH VISITORS IN BOGOR BOTANICAL GARDEN

In Bogor Botanical garden , we had an interview with the visitors who was there .They are foreign tourists from the Netherlands .They are already three days in Indonesia. When we asked a question about the reason for they go to the botanical gardens bogor , they said  “For vacation, and to see a plant that be here “. “Very good and very refreshing could walk surrounded of numerous trees and all kinds of plants”.They said. And when we asked their opinion about indonesia and they answered “Nice, the peoples in Indonesia is very nice and very friendly”.

OPINION AND TESTIMONIAL ABOUT BOGOR BOTANICAL GARDEN

Following this is an opinion and testimony from our group :

OPINIONS :

1. Bogor botanical gardens is one of the tourist attractions which is great because we can see and know the different types of plants ranging from trees and flowers , because this park has the most types of plants that exist in Indonesia . The park is very spacious and airy , suitable for day trips with family and friends . 
2.      I think the Bogor botanical garden is a great tourist spot, in terms of hygiene is maintained Bogor botanical gardens. Because there are many big trees and also has a sign to be careful with the branches and trunks of trees that are old and weathered. The atmosphere was beautiful and fresh air is suitable for day trips with family and friends. Bicycle rental facilities and transport the car was already adequate. 
3.    Bogor botanical garden its place very extensive, a lot of various trees of which are cultivated there.Pretty clean and since there are many trees, well suited to simply a picnic and camping.Tickets of admission are fairly cheap, only rp.14,000, - it looks like will not revoke or change.Whose streets is very long and windy, it seems to be was incredibly exciting. if cycling there.Eventhough we do not have a chance to ride a bike there.The time we have only a slight, so basically I was less than satisfied and want to longer there. 
4.   I think bogor botanical garden is a place suitable for refreshing . Because there so many trees in there so very refreshing and a good place to relax with family and friends 

TESTIMONIAL :

1. When I visited the Bogor botanical gardens, there are many foreign tourists from various countries, the Netherlands, the UK and even Japan were seen with their tour guide while walking around looking at the garden atmosphere highway. We saw bridges, rock-strewn river, pond filled with lotus big, big trees and unique variety then photographed together there. A bit tired when walking round all the destinations that exist in Bogor botanical gardens plus the heat tolerable sting, should we rent a bike there or take a safari car to get around. Because we visit during regular day so lonesome, most tourists come from abroad. We had interviewed foreign tourists from the Netherlands, it looks like a pair of lovers. They said he was happy to visit the botanical gardens of Bogor.
2.  As visitors we need to protect the place , with disposing of garbage in place , not deprive of flowers and take an animal that was there and does not damage any who was there .And for the bogor botanical garden itself , there is one of the bridge underneath the river flowing strong , but in the river there are clothes that seems to being washed .It makes the eyes become uncomfortable .And must be removed so that its beauty not diminishe.
3. There is one of the places I really like , namely a bridge that hanging and colored red , underneath it there is very quiet river flows long river .Clean and circumstances. Maybe this is called red bridge .I really love because its place very quiet , moreover there is only me and my friend there .Probably because we come in the work day so not so many visitors .And also , many visitors from various countries .And they look happy to be there .One of them came from the netherlands and we succeeded take a selfie with the foreign tourist.
